How To: DIY Rearview Mirror Spy Sunglasses

EVERY year, in the fall, my elementary school held fundraisers; with promises of mountain bikes and Gameboys and squirtguns. My goals were always less lofty: a simple $100 could knab you a pair of rearview mirror spy glasses, allowing the wearer to secretly observe all the confidential, super secret espionage happening on the playground. I never quite made it to $100 worth of wrapping paper and crappy chocolate.

So, these DIY spy glasses have a special place in my heart, and I’m totally making some…like, tonight. ” These are super quick and easy to make, you’ll need a glue gun and cut-able plastic mirror sheets which you can pick up at the craft store or on-line. The most important part of this project is finding the right glasses to modify. First, you want something hip and fun, no sense leaving the house looking like a meff. Look for glasses with lenses and frames which are as flat as possible.”
