Vintage desk fans have great lines, and can bring and old world, industrial-vibe to any space. Most are made pretty well, and worth picking up for a few dollars at thrift stores and secondhand shops. Jérémy, a creative 16-year-old from Quebec, came across a 50-year-old Eagle Aire fan, and wanted to rejuvenate it while maintaining its mid-century vibe.
He carefully disassembled the parts, cleaned out the grate and motor, then gave it a hot rod-era red and chrome paint job. Check out Jérémy’s full how-to at his site, Les Chroniques d’un Designer.
Also, props to the 16-year-old who maintains his own DIY design blog.
