How-To: Make an Origami Planter

created at: 10/10/2013

As falls continues to fall and winter approaches, bring some life and greenery inside your space with this easy handmade planter project.

This DIY is super easy and will help add texture to a room without having to compromise your a masculine aesthetic. If you’re not into the bright hues, don’t worry, you can customize this project and use any color you want. A plain black or white would look discreet and modern.

For this DIY you’ll need:

  • A thick sheet of paper
  • Something to bend the paper
  • A ruler
  • A planter (hopefully with a plant that’s alive)

Follow the instructions on this post by Madame Citron (turn on Google translate!) and boom! Done. Even if you can’t read the instructions, the pictures are pretty self-explanatory.

Try to experiment with different shapes and sizes, and hey, if you get all paper crazy this fall, why not making some of these.
