Graffiti Warfare

So, first, a quick primer. King Robbo was a pioneering graffiti artist in London in the 1980s. He painted this piece at Regents canal in Camden, London in 1985, and it’s remained untouched since:

   Banksy is a stencil master and arguably the most famous contemporary street artist whose original works can fetch upwards of half a million dollars. In December 2009, Banksy went over Robbo’s historical piece with this:

Come Christmas morning, Robbo responded.

Without adding any personal commentary… this is why art is, friends. And we’re blessed to be watching.
