ManMade is Going to Mexico…So Please Welcome Guest Blogger JoAnn Moser, the DIY Maven!

Hi everyone,

By the time you read this, I’ll be off to the U.S./Mexico border to get my hands dirty, flex my service learning muscles, and get crazy constructive with an excellent group of college students. While I’m gone, my friend JoAnn Moser will be keeping her eye on ManMade, and providing some excellent guest blogging posts!

JoAnn is super maker, DIYer, and a master of all things crafty. She inherited the DIY gene from her parents, and was a total tomboy growing up, and still has some latent tomboy tendencies – she’ll take tools or photography or electronic equipment over jewelry any day, so she surely gets the spirit of ManMade.

Please help JoAnn feel welcome, and I’ll see you all in ten days! I promise to eat a fresh tortilla for every one of you.

And the first person to say something super nice to JoAnn in the comments will win a free download of the book JoAnn and I co-authored (with our friend Shelly Leer): Make It! Mid-Century Modern!

Love, Chris

More about JoAnn:

JoAnn Moser was born into a family of doers. By the time she was 12 years old, she was as comfortable with a screwdriver in her hand as she was with a crochet hook.  She runs her own crafting site, Diymaven.com, and is a regular writer for DIY home decor site, Curbly.com. She, ManMade’s Chris Gardner, and collaborator Shelly Leer are the co-authors of Make It! Mid-Century Modern, and the soon-to-be-released Make It! Secondhand Chic.

When JoAnn isn’t “Maven” she is “J. Michlitsch”, a writer of fiction whose work has been featured in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and Futures Mystery Anthology Magazine, among other publications. She received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Minnesota and a masters degree in creative writing from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN.
