How to: Pick a Lock like a Pro... Cause You Never Know When You're Gonna Need It

Last Wednesday I committed the absentminded sin of locking myself out of my apartment with the only spare key also locked inside. It was late at night and the realization of the struggle that was about to be rest of my evening was bordering on overwhelming. Luckily I’d left the bathroom window slightly ajar and after some clever thinking and a little jimmying, my buddy and I were able to take off the screen and slip through.

You Gotta See the CIA's Vintage Spy Gear Collection

While we all know James Bond's sexy spy experience is a far cry from the lives of real life spies, you'd be surprised by how many cinematic spy gadgets were actually employed in the early days of the CIA.

From miniature cameras in cigarette cases to hollow coins, the collection of cool gear is a testament to human ingenuity and the maker's ethos.

How To: DIY Rearview Mirror Spy Sunglasses

http://criminalcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/step-7.bmp

EVERY year, in the fall, my elementary school held fundraisers; with promises of mountain bikes and Gameboys and squirtguns. My goals were always less lofty: a simple $100 could knab you a pair of rearview mirror spy glasses, allowing the wearer to secretly observe all the confidential, super secret espionage happening on the playground. I never quite made it to $100 worth of wrapping paper and crappy chocolate.

So, these DIY spy glasses have a special place in my heart, and I'm totally making some...like, tonight. " These are super quick and easy to make, you’ll need a glue gun and cut-able plastic mirror sheets which you can pick up at the craft store or on-line. The most important part of this project is finding the right glasses to modify. First, you want something hip and fun, no sense leaving the house looking like a meff. Look for glasses with lenses and frames which are as flat as possible."
