Guess What, ManMakers. I Bought a House!

My earliest memory is of a pillow fort. Or perhaps, more accurately, a blanket tent. My first post-crib sleeping situation was this great set of bunkbeds, with the top and bottom set perpendicular to each other, in an L-shape. A dresser, twice my height, was nestled in the empty space, creating a sweet three-sided “cave” underneath where I lay my head. How to: Pick a Lock like a Pro... Cause You Never Know When You're Gonna Need It

Last Wednesday I committed the absentminded sin of locking myself out of my apartment with the only spare key also locked inside. It was late at night and the realization of the struggle that was about to be rest of my evening was bordering on overwhelming. Luckily I’d left the bathroom window slightly ajar and after some clever thinking and a little jimmying, my buddy and I were able to take off the screen and slip through.

An Animated Gif that Shows How a Key Opens a Standard Lock

This might be old news to some, but I'll cop to the fact that I had more-or-less zero idea how a key and lock actually works. Something with tumblers and cylinders and somethingorother...
