Today we'll show you another design that's just as easy and cool looking as our previous one. Grab a pair of scissors and some rope and follow along.
Summer is fast approaching and, after long hibernation, you are working your butt off to get in shape. Protein smoothies? Check! Workout plan? Check! Cool gym bag?
Um, no? Worry not, friend. In this roundup you'll find fit different bags that will fit your budget and personal style.
My friend Ryan had a problem; a problem with stealing his wife Chelsea's Nook eReader so as to gorge on the entire Game of Thrones series. So, he snagged his own Nook Simple Touch, and figured out a way to make a custom leather case and cover with no special sewing or leatherworking skills, and he didn't even have to pay for materials.
I am not a regular pocket knife carrier. I own one; it's in a dresser drawer and I get it out whenever I go camping, or I manage to take a package or box upstairs and need to open it. So, like twice a year.
But, I imagine I reach for something sharp and/or pointy and/or thin and stiff at least three times a day. And after reading this list, I'm thinking maybe I might need to add a small pocketknife to my watch, keys, and other daily carries.
I'm proud to say, that after 5 years of living in NYC, I finally got a bike. Not only can I get around easily, but also I'm officially initated into the ManMade Brotherhood of Biking. I ordered a great single speed, fixed gear from State Bicycle Co. (check it out!) and I couldn't be happier with it. However, there is one thing missing from my ride: accessories. So, of course, I took to the internet and searched for some stylin' bicycle accessories. Like, perhaps, this brand new line featuring all things Star Wars.
Spring is here and that means ones thing: time to take your bicycle out of storage and start riding again. Bicycles, like cars, can serve as an extension of who we are, so it's only fitting that we accessorize our bikes appropriately. This post highlights 5 designy bike accessories to give your ride a little extra flair and style.
I know. For many, the era of the cell phone has rendered the wristwatch useless for some. But not me. I'm an enternal watchwearer, forever doomed to feeling naked without that one accessory that must stay on me. I may be used to the weight, may just not like the look of my bare left wrist, or perhaps I'm just obsessive enough that I need not to have to pull something out of my pocket to know what time it is. (It's that one).
Shwood, makers of handcrafted wooden sunglasses, teamed up with San Francisco clothing company Huf to spend a day skateboarding through downtown Los Angeles. When one rider broke his deck, the Shwood craftsmen took the trashed plywood, laminated up, and created these amazing recycled skateboard-version of their awesome sunglasses design.
They film the whole process, showing how these beautiful pieces are glued up and made by hand. Accompanied by T. Rex's "Mambo Sun," this video's a must watch.
For centuries, the adage "the right tool for the job" has rang true in all sorts of creative, artistic, and handmade fields. That's no different in 2011, where the image-heavy, fast production-centric digital world demands we keep up with the times. And so, we turn to gadgets and technology to make our creative world more productive and more awesome.
But, which accessories and gadgets to invest in?
