How to: Make a Bacon Taco Shell

I am known, far and wide, as a true and dedicated tortilla lover. Like, soak your own hominy with slaked lime and grind your own masa and then press them out with a handmade tortilla press and cook them on a griddle over a wood burning fire kind of dedicated tortilla lover.

In fact, I can imagine only one thing in the world that would convince me to try a taco in anything other than a fresh, soft, warmed and slightly blistered tortilla, and it's certainly not those Dorito-flavored bright red U-boats that Taco Bell is hawking all over the country this spring.   It is - you smart person who can look at the photos and post title and figure out exactly where I'm going with this - bacon.

A Bit of Everything created some overlapping bacon "fabric" and cooked the sheet as a single piece. Once warm but still pliable, the shell is draped to create the signature crunchy taco shape, and filled with your favorite.

Yeah, sure, it's totally overkill, and I don't wanna meet the person that can eat more than one of these, but you gotta respect the effort.

I think it would be cute to put egg and or sausage in it and have it as a breakfast :p

Sadly....(lol) I know someone who could/would/will eat more than one of these.  Now, to figure out the bacon-type...I figure smoked and a "slab" type so it doesn't break when cooling.  These are going to be some expensive tacos, lucy!

put some rice in that sucker and you're good to go!
